Bibliography of Chinese Administrative Geography

(Summary)

This database is a working bibliography of works on Chinese Administrative geography. This includes official manuals on boundary changes, placenames, and geographic coding at national, provincial, and local levels, as well as some scholarly works. The database is arranged to permit a search of works on specific times, places, and subject matters. The bibliography is currently limited mainly to works on the post-1949 period and found at the University of Washington and at the Universities Service Center at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Later editions will extend its coverage to earlier historical periods and other libraries.
